404 errors all around. Unable to download the codec pack. In the past, however, the codec packs were great.

16mb for a program that doesn't even run resident? Are you serious??
I understand people don't want to have non-resident programs "b/c they slow the system down", but if you're computer is connected to the Internet you NEED a resident scanner. If you don't have one, it's like asking for hackers and viruses to infect you anywhere.
It's people like you that make viruses viable and feasible. Get out of the 1990's and get a real virus scanner.
Avast antivirus is FREE for home use, so is AVG. I use Avast b/c it seems to run a bit smoother, but that's my opinion. Get something worth using, people, or you're asking for trouble. Lose your data once to a virus, or worse yet hose your entire PC, and you'll learn the importance of having a nice antivirus that RUNS RESIDENT.
I, personally, don't have any virus codes running amok around my computer, so I can't necessarily test the claims that it "doesn't detect" as well as others, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit.
0.8 RC2 (Apr 3, 2008)
Sync to palm yet? Still one star.
Do they have a three year old coding this program? I know TV shows use twins b/c of child labor laws. I'm just wondering b/c this thing has been at more or less a standstill compared to other Mozilla projects.
1.2.0.28 Beta (Dec 13, 2007)
First off it gets things from MS that are updated via windows update. I'm sure if you get updates from this software, you'll invariably screw windows update something fierce.
Also, the program reports updates for programs that have not been updated.
For some VERY big named programs (I can't even think of the ONE program I use that obviously many use), it gives you the download link. Everything else it directs you to a google search to find it yourself???!!! How is this helpful what-so-ever? If it says that it found an update, take me to the page you think you got the information from ... not an obscure update page from google.
Unfortunately it is true what the others say. I believe it's called SUMO in Linux where it goes out and gets the updates for you and you can have one click access to the updates, but this program just takes so many personal resources (ie my time) that it's not worth messing around with. ... A quote from someone else, "Great idea, horribly implemented". True, true, true.

Works. Wish it didn't cost $$. I wouldn't put my CC on a site like this, though.
For the one that said, "Just write it to CD!", if I downloaded a whole CD/have a whole bunch of songs, NO THANKS. YOU have fun renaming all those freaking song files *screams and rips out his hair thinking of it*
Like I said, No thanks. Great program for what it does, but it seems kind of stupid to pay for a program that should be free from Apple / MPAA anyways.

Sounds like a completely valid and warranted lawsuit to me! I'm sure the fine print says that during peek times you can expect less, but if you're not getting advertised/paid for speeds in non-peak, I'd be less than happy.
I have Buckeye Cable, and while they RAPE you $30+tax/mon for 2mb down/200k up, and $45 for 8m/768k, their speeds hold pretty true. I think only a few times I saw

I agree this thing would be nice for those documents that you might have needed to get just a little bit bigger (sometimes viewing pdf's can be a bit eye exploding on my moto droid), but 8.5x11??! That thing is a MONSTER! Think of the average size of a paperback. They are nowhere NEAR the form size of this beast!

You need to realize that these phones are meant to have their battery run a little lower than other phones ... it's the nature of the beast. If you expect to have a blazing fast phone with no drawbacks, you're simply kidding yourself as they don't yet exist. Once we get phones to todays PC speeds, THEN they'll start looking at battery life. Look at how long laptops have been around, mostly unchanged except for speeds, and they only just recently within the last few years started saying, "You know what'd be nice? A battery that lasts more than 1.5 hours with Wifi on... Low and behold we have netbooks and laptops alike that get 4+hrs on a single charge. Once they make the OS's and devices screaming fast, you'll see the battery improvements. In the short term, stop b*tching and get a freaking extra charger.

Actually if a person posts a pic of your friend and tags them, it's instantly viewable to you... Even if their album is set to private.
